| Optimal Camera position | |
![]() |
| A camera mounted in the direct direction of travel position is always optimal. | |
| Large distance range | |
| 22% to 50% plate size of the picture width, which is on a 50mm lens, a work area 10 to 20 camera meters distance | |
| Laterally from above or below mounted camera | |
![]() |
| Sometimes there is no way the camera directly in the direction of travel to arrange, then a side-mounted camera an angular distance of up to 20 degrees, no problem. | |
| Strong sunlight associated with light reflections in the image | |
![]() |
| Strong solar radiation often generated reflectivity of the body in the windshield or on the plate itself still, Pollux recognize the plate properly. | |
| Obliquely recorded plates | |
| The detection of up to +/-20 ° angle recorded plates are not a problem | |
| Very dirty plates | |
![]() |
| Very dirty plates, as pictured above, combined with difficult lighting conditions are also detected. Both license plate of Pollux are still perfectly readable. However, extremely dirty plate with partially covered letters are not sure readable. | |
| Use our mini-camera Spica with barrier beam assembly | |

| Additional lighting or turned off lights | |

| At night with using of our Mini-camera Spica with barrier beam assembly | |
| Despite intense backlighting of switched vehicle headlights is to detect sound, thanks to the Spica integrated LED array. The right image is even a line of discovery protocol is displayed. This picture was taken right at video output of Pollux. | |
| At night, when using a standard PAL camera without additional lighting. The headlights, rain, ground fog and rising water vapor. | |
| The headlights on at night without Additional lighting is problematic if, in addition to rain, Ground fog or ascending water vapor comes to that, then a satisfactory detection is not possible. Therefore it is important to Additional lighting or use of our mini camera Spica. | |
